Nearing final version of the Stu slouch

Friday, April 8, 2011
I made a couple of adjustments so that his shoulders match the slouch (thanks Roy!). I'm dropping out all background elements to keep it as simple as possible.

Let me know what you think. I am about ready to freeze any further work to prevent me from dabbling to the point I start to screw things up (thanks Jeff).

I like it a lot. As soon as I saw it, it made me giggle because of how accurate it is. Totally looks like a sloucher. Nice job. I almost feel like his right foot should be bent at the toes, with the heel off the ground a touch, if that makes sense. Try out the pose yourself and feel how, depending on the length of your legs and the height of the seat, it could force your entire knee upward, taking the foot with it. I don't know if this is necessarily the case with his foot that close to the chair & the height of the chair and length of his leg...I'm rambling. Hopefully this helps...?

Great job West! Like Cheri said, i think maybe his feet could be in a different angle. Being flat like is kinda hard when you have a laptop on you. But that's just my opinon.

Also, AWESOME render... I'm jealous now! :P

Thanks for the suggestions on the foot. I tried to pose him with his foot up like that and it throws everything out of whack pretty dramatically, because it really raises the right knee quite a bit. I decided to not try to make a bunch of cascading changes this late in the game, but I do appreciate your feedback.
